About
HANDCRAFTED ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS AND FLOORS
PERPETUA builds and designs architectural elements, doors and floors to enhance your space. We work with architects, contractors and home-owners to craft solutions or implement existing designs.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE WOOD
Go ahead, call us dendrophiles (lovers of trees). We love curating wooD, and care about its sustainable harvest. We use reclaimed, salvaged, and FSC lumber when possible. Here at PERPETUA, we appreciate our PNW woods: Douglas Fir, Walnut, Madrone, and White Oak.
FLOOR DESIGNS
When it comes to floors, we work with boards of all sizes, but we have an affinity for wide-plank floors. The sweep of wide floorboards stretching across a room has a timeless attraction. Early American settlers found that wide-plank lumber made the most durable floors because of the dense heartwood. PERPETUA celebrates this craft with floors that are as visually striking as they are substantial. Wider boards show stunning grain patterns and result in far fewer seams. Plank dimensions can be milled-to-order in lengths up to 30 feet and widths up to 18 inches
WOOD FINISHES
Our unique, non-toxic finishes bring out the best in the wood: everything from a transparent oil, a subtle Scandinavian white, a weathered grey, or bolder pigments. It all adds up to a custom look that will suit your home perfectly and last indefinitely.
WHERE IS PERPETUA WOOD?
Our workshop is based in Bend, Oregon. We also love to collaborate on far-flung projects. And in addition to fabricating custom architectural features, we also design furniture in our workshop for SylvanRay Furniture.
